I was born in Kenya and have always felt a love for the ocean, the sun, the wind, the earth and its creatures. I longed to speak the “unspoken language”--that river of connection between all that is living within heaven and earth. As long as I can remember,  I have been interested in the “mysteries” of life, the mind, the body and the universe and in learning more about the not-so-obvious.

 

I came to the US due to political unrest in 1983 and I found myself behind the chair as a hairdresser, listening to people’s stories , sharing experiences and also finding wonderful friends. My faith in the capacity in humans to share joy and sadness , to give and take advice from each other, was rekindled.

 

However humble one may consider being in the “service business”, it is by far the most wonderful way to experience energy exchange . The key is to learn how to make it a healthy experience.

 

And so it is the same with life.

 

I began my training to become a Shaman with the Four Winds Healing Light Body school with Alberto Villoldo and Linda Fitch in 2009 and stepped into another world. It felt like “coming home”. After graduating, I opened up a practice to do energy work while also hairdressing in Durham, NC.
